Recticel insualtionA hospice close to Recticel Insulation’s state-of-the-art UK production facility is £1,000 better off thanks to a donation by employees of the PIR manufacturer.

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice, which has cared for people in North Staffordshire from its base in Blurton, Stoke on Trent, for more than 40 years, was presented with a cheque for that amount by the town’s Lord Mayor Coun Jean Bowers during a recent visit to the factory.

Accompanied by Lady Mayoress Coun Sabrina Bowers, she presented the cheque to the hospice’s Alex Ward Brassington in the presence of Recticel’s commercial director Kevin Bohea and plant manager Simon Harrison.

Kevin said: “The hospice needs to raise in excess of £11 million this year to maintain and develop its services and with 75% of the money raised coming from voluntary donations our colleagues were delighted to be able to do their bit to help by donating part of their company Christmas present.”
