Ahmarra supply £500,000 of FSC sustainable timber products

Ahmarra have won a £500,000 contract to supply FSC sustainable timber doorsets, screens and fixed windows for Shoreham Academy. Portsmouth-based Ahmarra, one of the UK’s leading architectural door and doorset manufacturers, will work with Balfour Beatty Construction and A&A Carpentry on the new Shoreham Academy in Shoreham-by-Sea.

The £30 million project, for West Sussex County Council, involves the provision of a new school complete with theatres, drama and dance studios and a sports hall with spectator seating for 450. Students will continue to study in their existing buildings until Easter 2012 and will start using the new facilities in the summer term of 2012.

Ahmarra Door Solutions range of high performance, FSC timber doorsets and FSC glazed screens and windows were selected in an American White Oak lacquered finish for this project.
