UK Flood Barriers’ contribution recognised
A report just released by Bath & North East Somerset Council, following the successful installation of property level flood protection measures at 69 properties in Chew Magna has confirmed the project to have been an outstanding success.
Not only was it delivered on time and to budget, the project is being held as a ‘blueprint’ for its outstanding collaborative effort by all project partners – the County Council, the Local Council, the Environment Agency, the main contractor Capital Symonds and UK Flood Barriers who manufactured, surveyed and installed all the products.
Effective Project Management, effective community engagement and the implementation of an effective surveying and signing off process resulted in exceptionally high levels of customer satisfaction.
UK Flood Barriers – the UK’s leading provider of passive flood protection products, worked in close partnership with Capita Symonds to complete the project with the customers’ needs in mind. Surveys were quickly carried out, resulting in minimum inconvenience to householders and once installation commenced, all works were completed and signed off in 10 weeks.
The report notes that “UK Flood Barriers proved to be a very effective contactor, who ensured that sufficient teams were based in the village enabling all works to be completed on time.”
With 97% customer satisfaction recorded in a post project survey, UK Flood Barriers looks forward to extending this blueprint for delivery in its work to other property level protection schemes around the UK.
