New product lines extend Marley Alutec's environmental credentials

Saturday, 15 January 2011

Leading rainwater solutions provider, Marley Alutec, has extended its range with the addition of a new box profile gutter and 72mm square downpipe. Highly recyclable, the resources used in the Evolve range make it the product of choice for sustainable building, as aluminium is one of the only materials that can be recycled again and again without loss of quality, and using just 5% of the original processing energy.

The Evolve range is extremely durable and lightweight, lasting more than 50 years, with a polyester powder coating ensuring a hardwearing, fade resistant finish, which will last the lifetime of the product.  It also benefits from an innovative JuraJoint, a new method of jointing aluminium gutter that combines the advantages of EPDM rubber with the security of a high performance silicone.

The new box profile is compatible with the 76mm circular flushfit downpipe already available in Marley Alutec’s product range and has the same 1.6mm wall thickness of as the current Evolve systems.  It is available in 20 standard colours, with a reduced rate for the Heritage Black finish.

Marley Alutec will also be launching a new soffit and fascia system. With a 100 percent recycled waste plastic polythene core and an aluminium finish, the system installs as easily as PVC, using the same tools, and has a life expectancy of 50 years or more.  Only 4mm thick, making it perfect for covering wood or PVC, the system is finished in high quality fade resistant paint, in a choice of six colour options, with bespoke profiles also available.

Bob Randall, MD of Marley Alutec, comments: “We are able to demonstrate that all of our rainwater systems have the ability to combine sleek aesthetics with inherent performance capabilities, as well as maintaining affordability.  In addition, the low whole life costs of the Alutec ranges, combined with responsible sourcing and environmental benefits, really do make them the most sustainable and cost-effective rainwater systems available in the UK today.”
