Photovoltaics with a difference
The only future of roofing is one that converts sunlight into electricity!
May we introduce to you the successful integrated system available in the UK, the CLIX Steel Profile, a Photovoltaic (PV) combined with an AluZinc standing Seam panel, factory made and supplied to site ready for installation?
The Clix system is a unique patented one piece standing seam roofing panel with the PV already fixed in place. The easy assembly of the cut to size customised to your roof application is displayed on our video.
As you will be aware the Feed In Tariffs are available in the UK from April 2010. The system is suitable for residential and commercial applications e.g. schools, office buildings, industrial premises etc. CLIX is the company and the trading name of a new building plate system. CLIX has a unique fixing principle, it is therefore one of the most rational and easily fitted building plate systems on the market.
CLIX panel has no loose components or CLEAT's. CLIX is a seam in itself. CLIX cladding panel is aesthetically appealing and as a modern building plate system, it is maintenance-free with a very long useful life. The development work has taken more than ten years from concept to the finished, patented and tested product, which has also been type-approved by SITAC. CLIX has a many design and TM patents that included a method's of integration of solar cell (PV) to CLIX as CSI, ASI and CIGS. These solar panels produce electricity during daylight through a process called photovoltaic's (PV solar panels). "Photo" refers to light and "voltaic" to electricity. Photons are converted to electrons and those same photons penetrate clouds allowing the system to work even on cloudy and overcast days.
