Cosentino partners with new Chesire cookery school
A leader in the production and distribution of quartz surfaces and natural stone, Cosentino has partnered with the newly launched Cheshire Cookery School in Altrincham. Cosentino has supplied the school with eight ECO by Cosentino worktops; a revolutionary new decorative surface material composed of 75% recycled materials.
Andrew Warnes founder of the Cheshire Cookery School says: “I have worked with Cosentino UK on many projects and am always pleased with the quality and design of its worktops. The ECO by Cosentino surfaces are perfect for my new cookery school as they are extremely durable with a high stain, scratch and scorch resistance, as well as being made from 75% recycled materials”
The Cheshire Cookery School incorporates the most up to date equipment, allowing visitors to experience new and time-tested techniques side by side in a professional but informal setting. The school caters for all levels and benefits from a resident chef, Jason Palin who will be offering day and evening courses, covering everything from the principles of pasta making, game cookery, clever canapé and dinner parties. Groups are kept to a maximum of 16, so visitors receive individual tuition and hands on experience.
ECO by Cosentino is a revolutionary new decorative surface material composed of 75% recycled materials that can be used for work surfaces, interior cladding and flooring. Available in an array of stunning colours and finishes, ECO by Cosentino is achieved through state-of-the-art technology and is extremely durable with a high stain, scratch and scorch resistance.
With a three year warranty, ECO by Cosentino is composed of 75% post-industrial and post-consumer recycled raw materials. The materials include: mirrors salvaged from buildings; glass from windows and bottles; granulated glass, porcelain from china, tiles, sinks and toilets and industrial furnace residuals from factories in the form of crystallised ashes.
The recycled content is then mixed with other materials including stone waste and is bonded together with a part eco-resin, which contains 22% corn oil. This pioneering resin is the result of a major research and development initiative, and is unmatched in the market today.
ECO by Cosentino is available in jumbo slabs of 327x159cm and standard tile sizes of 30x30cm 45x45cm and 60x60cm. The jumbo slabs allow for a higher square footage of material per container, therefore minimising the product’s carbon foot print, and provides a higher yield of material during fabrication, minimising seams and waste. The slabs are available in 1.2cm, 2cm and 3cm thickness to respond to varying market needs.
