T R Freeman announces five education contracts worth £720,000
Architectural metal roofing and cladding company T R Freeman has announced a series of new contracts in the education sector totalling £720,000.
Among the new orders just picked up by the Cambridge-based company are work at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, and Peterborough Regional College.
It's a great start to the year for T R Freeman, which announced a separate host of new contract wins worth more than £800,000 at the end of last year.
Gary Webb, Managing Director of T R Freeman said: "We have completed a number of high profile contracts in the education sector over the last few years, and increasingly we are being seen as an education specialist.
"It is also great to see these orders are all with contractors we have worked with in the past. T R Freeman's reputation is excellent and repeat orders in this way goes to demonstrate that."
The five education contracts are:
- Woodbridge School for R G Carters, value circa £100k. Zinc roofing and cladding starting in February
- Lantern School, Ely for Morgan Ashurst,, value circa £140k. Speedeck roofing and Kingspan cladding starting in February
- Peterborough Regional College for SDC, value circa £160k. Full substrate and zinc cladding starting in March
- Queen Boudica School, Colchester for Willmott Dixon, value circa £170k. Full substrate and Falzinc roofing starting in March
- UEA Norwich for Kier Eastern, value circa £150k. Full substrate and zinc cladding starting in April.
T R Freeman has been in Cambridge since being formed more than 120 years ago and is now part of the well-known Kershaw Group. The group employs 183 people with a turnover of £35 million. It is heavily involved in the local community, including a sponsorship of Cambridge United's away shirts.
