BBA milestone for Duoflex structural waterproofing system

Wednesday, 16 June 2010

Flag-Soprema’s hot-melt waterproofing system Duoflex has been awarded BBA certification (10/4745).

Shaun Williams, Flag-Soprema’s National Business Manager for Structural Waterproofing received the BBA Certificate from Gary Dicker, Area Business Manager for the British Board of Agrément. Shaun commented: “Whilst Duoflex has been used on a large number of high profile projects, BBA certification provides independent assurance of its high performance characteristics for both client and specifier alike.”

As a self-healing, monolithic barrier to the transmission of water and water vapour Duoflex retains its durability and elasticity throughout a building’s design life. It can be used for inverted roof applications, particularly under green roof build-ups, even at zero falls.

With no curing time, Duoflex is ideal for use on projects involving fast track scheduling. Detailing and upstand work can be completed prior to the main field area, which can then be used as a working platform prior to Duoflex application.
