Digital showering with green credentials from Aqualiser

Monday, 20 July 2009

Easy to use and easy to install.  So far, so digital with nearly everyone now recognising that digital showers are the future of the bathroom.  But Eco friendly?  A shower that’s got green credentials? That’s exactly what Aqualisa’s brand new Visage Digital indeed has.

In addition to delivering a great, digital showering performance with spot-on temperatures and perfect pressure, Visage Digital also features a clever eco setting.  Selected by little more than the installer’s screwdriver when the shower is being fitted, Visage Digital’s eco setting reduces water flow down to an environmentally aware 8 litres per minute.  That’s up to a water-wasting 10 litres less than your average normal shower might use.

Because whilst flow might be less, thanks to Visage Digital’s multimode shower head with clear flow, anti-scale nozzles, it is very difficult to see or feel the difference.  And because Visage Digital is powered by Aqualisa’s clever, system specific digital processor, Visage Digital promises to deliver a great shower, no matter the type of plumbing system.  That means that whether gravity fed, combi or mains, hot and cold flows of water will be blended perfectly, with even, balanced pressure.

Measuring just 14cm high and with a depth of just 6cm*, Visage Digital sits unobtrusively on the bathroom wall. A small, oval LED on Visage Digital’s control flashes green whilst the water is warming up and then turns to steady once the water has reached the user’s preferred temperature.  Meanwhile, a simple push button start/stop makes for the easiest showering imaginable, whilst a tactile temperature control allows the user to decide how they want to shower.

Visage Digital’s is also easy to install.  Because the shower’s processor is sited away from the showering area, there’s none of the damage to tiles, plaster or walls that can be caused when installing a conventional shower valve.  A simple datacable connects Visage Digital’s control to the processor and, depending upon the Visage Digital variant chosen, a new shower can be up and running in as little as two hours.

* Concealed variant; exposed showers’ controls have a depth of 7cm
